Integration Solution: WASH

Urban Outfitters (UO) had two big integration problems. First, their system could only generate individual order acknowledgments; not the collections required by Amazon.com. Second, order tracking data feeds were going astray somewhere along the communication route, creating an accounting nightmare in terms of reconciling settlements against orders. In response, WrinkleBrain enhanced its WASH product to bundle UO’s acknowledgements, thus bringing the client into compliance with its Amazon.com service level agreement. We also tied the Amazon.com transaction and order ID numbers together, and added a management tool to WASH that allows the client to see every feed related to an order on a single screen. Now whenever a communication glitch occurs, no one at UO has to spend 15 minutes tracking the problem. They simply click WASH’s “Resubmit” button to put the order process back in motion.
